Heavy Rainfall Warning In The Following Areas, Issued By PAGASA
The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued a heavy rainfall warning over some parts of the country advising the public to take precautionary measures.
On Saturday (August 11, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a heavy rainfall warning in some areas.
PAGASA has raised color-coded rainfall advisory due to the possible heavy downpour affecting the country’s weather condition.
The weather agency has raised a red rainfall warning over Metro Manila and Rizal. Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning has been raised over Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, and North Quezon.
The yellow rainfall warning means that 7.5-15mm rains are expected and flooding in low-lying areas and up to I meter high storm surge are possible.
The orange rainfall warning means intense rains, flood threat, and 1 to 3-meter storm surge are expected.
The red rainfall warning indicates torrential rainfalls, over 3 meters storm surge, and serious flooding could happen. Evacuation to safe zones is also recommended.
