Mocha Uson’s Statement About Federalism, Harry Roque Needs To Answer

The controversial statement of PCOO Asec. Mocha Uson about Federalism must be answered by Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque needs to answer the controversial statement of Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson regarding Federalism.

Uson‘s “I-pepe, i-pepe, i-dede, i-dede, i-pepe-pepe-pepederalismo” statement garnered negative reactions from people in different walks of life.

Even those who are in favor of Federalism slammed how she promoted the idea to the public.

Since Roque is set to have a lunch meeting with the selected entertainment editors and writer on August 7, he will be asked to react about Uson’s controversial statement, based on the article published in Pilipino Star Ngayon.

Although, he had already released a statement regarding this issue, some press people will still dig down to the matter.

Based on the report, the Presidential Spokesperson said that Mocha Uson has no bad intention when she expressed her thoughts about Federalism.

He just wished it was done in a more serious approach.

“I think Mocha Uson had the best of intentions, kasi gusto niya talaga na mapag-usapan ang pederalismo ng mga tao sa pang araw-araw ng mga mamamayan natin. Pero siguro pag usaping pederalismo, dapat siguro mas seryoso dahil ito po ay Saligang Batas, ang pinakamataas na batas sa ating bayan,” Roque said.

It was also stated in the article that he will be asked if President Rodrigo Duterte will allow the PCOO Assistant Secretary to file for a leave after her “malicious” campaign.

The issue about his reported plan to run for Senate on the next election will be asked also. Previously, it was said that he and Uson will run as Senators in 2019.
