Weather Service PAGASA Spotted Low-Pressure Area, Scattered Rain Expected To Affect PH Weather System

The state weather bureau has released the latest weather forecast sighting a low-pressure area, scattered rains are also expected over parts of the country.

On Monday (August 06, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.

PAGASA reported that low-pressure areas were spotted on some parts of the country: the first one was located at 1,280 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, while the other was spotted 615 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales.

The southwest monsoon would bring scattered rain and thunderstorms over Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and the Mimaropa and Western Visayas Regions.

Metro Manila, the Bicol Region; and over the rest of the Visayas, and the Calabarzon and Central Luzon Regions would have cloudy conditions with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

Typhoon Shanshan with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 160 kph is now traveling outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the western sections of southern Luzon and the Visayas would have moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of southern Luzon and the Visayas and Mindanao would have moderate coastal waters.
