Here are some simple steps on how to block lost phone:
Android
- Visit https://www.google.com/android/find and open the “Find My Device” site.
- Enter the email address and password of the Android device you want to block.
- Select the icon of your phone located on the left side of the page
- Click “Lock” on the left side
- Enter a temporary password in the “New password” and “Confirm password” text fields if the Android device doesn’t have a lock screen password.
- Click the green button “Lock” at the bottom of the page making it impossible for others to access your personal information
- Erase Android if necessary by clicking the “Erase” tab and just follow the instructions rather than losing your data to an unidentified thief.
iPhone
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and open the “Find My Device” site.
- Enter the Apple email address and password to log into iCloud
- Click “ “ then “Find iPhone” on the iCloud dashboard.
- Click “All Devices” tab at the top of the page and then just click the name of your iPhone.
- Wait for the location of your iPhone to appear at the upper-right side of the page.
- Click “Next”, which is located at the top-right corner of the window
- Click “Done” to place your iPhone device in Lost Mode, you can deactivate it by clicking “Stop Lost Mode”
- Erase iPhone if necessary by clicking “Erase iPhone” then enter your Apple ID password rather than losing your personal information to an unknown person.
