Netizen Claims Policemen Allegedly Cherry-Picking Jaywalkers Gains Social Media Attention
CHERRY-PICKING – A netizen who ranted on policemen allegedly cherry-picking jaywalkers made a post that enticed fire on social media.
So many things will happen to any one of us in the streets. Some are good and others are ridiculously bad. Like the time when a conductor attempted to bribe the police with money and ended up in shackles. A police then made a video of the aftermath that went viral.
Another example is when a banana stand was confiscated and the police later wrecked it along with the bananas. The vendor recorded a video hoping that it went viral.
This time, a netizen, who happened to be one of the owners of a Facebook page “Matalinong Matsing” recently was caught jaywalking. He admitted that what he did was wrong. What triggered the netizen is because according to him, the police are cherry-picking who to catch red-handed while disregarding other violators.
Here is the full video posted by the page:
He said that it’s unfair as he was the only one who got caught and the others weren’t. The police said that the others, which the man said were also violating were old people, looked innocent, etc. They even sent the man to the police station and told him that he will be in jail.
As of now, the video received about 270 reactions and about 280 shares.
However, the netizens gave ambiguous comments but pointed out that the man is on the wrong side. Here are some of the comments:
Riki Tik Tak: “Sinabi na nga ng mamang pulis na mukhang mabait naman ehh na warning lang…”
Rez Yolab: “Mga ganitong situasyon dapat kalma At mahinahun makipag usap.,eh Kung ganito makipagusap tlagang pag tritripan ka nilang dalhin sa presento haha…“
Jerry Oriel Toraja : “Wag masyadong feelingera… In the first place alam mo naman na kasalanan mo, pag bawal tumawid bawal. Baka hindi aware yung iba tas ikaw aware ka naman gumaya ka rin…”
