The Weather Agency PAGASA Issues Rainfall Info & Monitors Low-Pressure Area

The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued rainfall information in some areas and monitors a new low-pressure area within PAR.

On Friday (July 27, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather update in the country.

The weather agency released a rainfall information affecting the weather condition in several parts of the Philippines.

Low-Pressure Area

PAGASA reported that moderate with occasional heavy rains would affect the areas of Metro Manila, Zambales, Bulacan, Batangas, Rizal, Bataan, Cavite, Laguna, and its nearby areas.

Quezon was also expected to experience light to moderate rain for the next few hours.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau is now monitoring another low-pressure area located near west of Batangas.

Low-Pressure Area

The weather disturbance was expected to affect the areas of Luzon and Visayas as severe tropical storm Jongdari intensified but moving farther from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Jongdari has maximum sustained winds of 100 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 120 kph.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains over Manila and the rest of the country.
