Manny Pacquiao’s Colleagues Want Him To Retire From Boxing Now

Friends And Colleagues Wanted Manny Pacquiao To Retire

MANNY PACQUIAO – After Sen. Manny Pacquiao’s victory against Argentinian boxer Lucas Matthysse, his friends and colleagues wanted him to retire.

We can all agree that we always wanted to see each and every one of Pacquiao’s fights. Ever since his fight with Morales in 2005, people all over the world wanted to see Pacquiao more in action.

Based on a report, the total minimum earnings of Pacquiao since 2005 are estimated to be about $400 million, excluding endorsements. Even more, his earnings from his recent fight will add to his wealth.

Furthermore, as per another report, many still wanted to see more action as Matthysse “posed a little threat” to Manny. The boxers that they wanted to battle against him are Adrien Broner, Terrence Crawford, and Vasily Lomachenko.

On the other hand, some wanted the Boxer-Senator to quit his boxing career, and that includes his colleagues. For them, his battle with Matthysse is the climax and will end that way.

According to a report in Tempo, Sen. JV Ejercito said that he is already “a legend” and has nothing else to prove. He even added that he shares the same sentiments.

Even more, Sen. Panfilo M. Lacson seconded Sen. Ejercito’s opinion and said that “it is best to leave the stage while the audience is applauding; not when they have left because nothing is worth watching.” Even President Duterte himself that he should “rest on his laurels and enjoy life.”

According to the report, however, Sen. Sonny Angara said that it is up to Manny whether or not he should retire from boxing. He added that “Only he, Manny, can answer that”.
