Signal No. 1 Raised in Certain Areas in PH As Tropical Depression Henry Retains Strength

TROPICAL DEPRESSION HENRY – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released an update about Tropical Depression Henry.

Recently, based on a report, several local government units have declared the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) due to the bad weather condition and the passage of Tropical Depression Henry. Certain areas in Cavite, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro canceled the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) for the safety of the people most especially the students.

PAGASA has recently released an update about ‘Henry’ according to a report on Philstar. The weather bureau expressed that the tropical depression has retained its strength. It is moving towards the northernmost part of Luzon.

Furthermore, Tropical Depression Henry has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is predicted to take the west-southwest direction at 25 kph. It has a maximum gustness of 65 kph.

According to the report, PAGASA said that Tropical Depression Henry is expected to pass through Babuyan Group of Islands on Monday night. It is also expected to be in the west part of Calayan, Cagayan by Tuesday morning.

The Southwest monsoon is expected to bring rains to Zambales, Cavite, Batangas, Bataan, Mindoro Provinces, Western Visayas, and Palawan. Rain showers and thunderstorms are expected in Luzon.

Based on the report, Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 has been raised in the following areas:

  • Ilocos Norte (Northern Part)
  • Apayao (Northern Part)
  • Batanes
  • Cagayan (Northern Part)
  • Babuyan Group of Islands.
