Coach Freddie Roach Hasn’t Talk To Manny Pacquiao Since Loss To Jeff Horn
Coach Freddie Roach admitted that he hasn’t talked to the Pinoy boxer Manny Pacquiao since its unanimous loss to Jeff Horn.
The Filipino boxing icon Manny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao will be playing in the ring against Lucas Matthysse without Freddie Roach on his corner for the first time since 2001.
Pacman replaced Roach with his childhood friend and longtime assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez without giving any notice.
Roach was surprised on Pacquiao’s decision and admitted that he hasn’t talked with the Pinoy boxer since his loss to the Australian Jeff Horn.
Pacquiao’s long-time coach revealed that the split had something to do with their conversation at the locker room after Pacquiao-Horn match.
“You know, Manny, being a senator and being a world-champion boxer is very difficult. I know you’ve always multi-tasked, but you might want to think about doing one before the other,” Roach told Pacquiao.
The boxer turned into Senator replied with a smile and did not say a word after the conversation.
The 39-year-old boxer also said that he is open for reuniting with Roach if he will compete again beyond Matthysse match.
Roach also expressed his willingness to train Pacquiao again even though it was for free.
