President Duterte signs R.A. 11053.
PRESIDENT DUTERTE – The Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte has signed R.A. 11053 into law which bans hazing in all forms, House of Representatives majority leader Rodolfo Fariñas said Wednesday.
According to a report from the CNN, President Rodrigo Duterte has finally signed Republic Act 11053 or the Anti-Hazing Act of 2018 which is an amendment of the 1995 version.
This law also imposes higher penalties if someone was charged guilty of hazing.
R.A. 11053 prohibits “hazing and regulating other forms of initiation rites of fraternities, sororities, and other organizations.”
