Netizens React to Photos of Man Allegedly Using the Philippine Flag as an Accessory
PHILIPPINE FLAG – Photos of a man allegedly using the Philippine Flag as an accessory caught the attention of several netizens on the social media.
The Philippine flag is one of the country’s symbolism that most Filipinos highly-respect and value. During the singing of the national anthem whether it may be in school, in front of the city halls, or in any public area, Filipinos stop and place their right hands on their chest while facing the national flag.
Many people are also aware that the flag is not just something that can be used anywhere. Even the placing of the colors when it is placed in a pole matters a lot. However, recently, one netizen pointed out the move of a man who allegedly used the flag of the Philippines as an accessory in his photos.
A netizen behind the user handle @jay_beltran stated in a Tweet that “the Philippine Flag is not an accessory.”
The netizen also raised that it is stated in the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines or Republic Act Number 8491 that the Philippine Flag “shall be prohibited to wear in whole or in part as a costume or uniform”.
The photos of the man allegedly using the flag as an accessory came along with a caption expressing that the man is serious about wanting to end the hunger in the Philippines.

True i did comment on his post already about using the flag as a garment or accessory… maybe he deleted na the post kasi i did not receive any sort of reply.
