Chris Goulding Stresses He Made Sure To Protect His Head During the Incident

CHRIS GOULDING – Australia basketball team’s member Chris Goulding broke his silence on the controversial brawl that occurred between his team and Philippines’ Gilas Pilipinas.

The viewers most especially the basketball fanatics were surprised when a brawl existed during the qualifying match between the teams of the Philippines and Australia for the FIBA World Cup. Among the players under Australia is Chris Goulding. The match took place at the Philippine arena in Bulacan.

Based on a report, thirteen players were ejected from the game – nine from the Philippines’ Gilas Pilipinas and four from the basketball team of Australia. The incident led to only three Gilas players being allowed to play in the court.

Among those who were ejected from Australia is Chris Goulding. He recently broke his silence over the controversial brawl that sparked between his team and the Gilas Pilipinas.

Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News, speaking in an interview on Australian television, Chris Goulding admitted that he does not know what to say during that time and a lot of people were on top of him while he was on the ground.

According to the Australian guard, he just really tried to tuck and protect his head. For him, the scores during that time really have something to do with the brawl. Reportedly, Australia’s team leads the game with 79-48 during that time.

“We were playing some really good basketball. We got up big, and I think the overriding thing is they weren’t happy with that. They were a little embarrassed,” he expressed.

Based on the report, aside from Chris Goulding, Thon Maker, Nathan Sobey, and Daniel Kickert were also ejected from the game.
