Annette Gozon Valdes Calls Out Article Pointing Out Similarities Of Victor Magtanggol & Thor

Annette Gozon Valdes lambasted article comparing Thor and Victor Magtanggol.

VICTOR MAGTANGGOL – The Programming Consultant at GMA Network Annette Gozon Valdes defends Alden Richards’ new character Victor Magtanggol in a new TV series.

In a previous article, it has been stated that Pambansang Bae Alden Richards is having a new TV series alone without Maine Mendoza who is his love team.

Aside from this project, he will also be having a concert, “Adrenaline Rush“, which will be on September 21 held at the Kia Theater.

Recently, he also captured countless hearts over his “Superhero Mo” performance with the Ex-Battalion, the theme song of his new series.

But recently, the netizens went baffled citing similarities of Alden Richard’s character to the Marvel character Thor. They got a similar weapon, almost the same armor, and even has the same abode even before the Infinity War.

And the Esquire Magazine has this article published online called out by Annette Gozon Valdes.

“But just as we’ve commended you for that, man, we’ve got to keep it real: So far, this new thing you’re working on isn’t looking so fresh,” a certain line from the content says.

Thus, Gozon, in a  Facebook post defended the new TV series.

“Your article lacks research. Even before Thor was a comic book character…he already existed in mythology. Thor is a Norse God…part of Norse mythology.”

Moreover, “Maybe you should have waited for the show to launch so you would understand what the show is about. Yes, the show has allusions to the Norse mythology, but Alden’s character is not Thor. However, the hammer he has IS the hammer of Norse mythology called the Mjolnir. How he is able to get it is part of what will be revealed in the show Victor Magtanggol.”
