Summit’s Rock Formation In Iloilo Vandalized By Group Of Hikers
A group of hikers who have vandalized a summit rock formation at Mt. Napulak in Igbaras Iloilo receives online criticisms.
Mountaineering is one of the most adventurous hobbies not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world.
Hikers are trekking up mountains enjoying the unique experience but they should also show care for the Mother Nature.
Recently, the Facebook page “Rmn Iloilo” has posted the photos of a group of hikers who vandalized a rock formation at the summit of Mt. Napulak in the province of Iloilo.
In the photos, it can be seen that the group strike a peace sign at the rock formation with words writer “TEAM DRAWING 6/26/18”.
The mountaineers garnered online criticisms from the social media users after posting the vandal on a rock formation.
The social media page also wrote a reminder on the post saying: “Take nothing but pictures. Leave nothing but footprints. Kill nothing but time.”
Some social media users have expressed their disappointment towards the hikers and even called them irresponsible.
While, there are some netizens who understand the hikers who climbed the mountain for the first time.
