DepEd Makes Announcement Over Opportunities for ALS A&E Passers

ALS – The Department of Education has recently announced a good news for the completers of the Alternative Learning System who have passed the Accreditation & Equivalency (A&E) test High School Level.

Recently, in line with the signing of the DepEd Order No. 27, the department announced that ALS completers who are passers of A&E Test (High School Level) are eligible to pursue higher education.

A&E High School Level passers may take entrance exams in colleges and universities and enroll as first-year students depending on the results of the exam. They are subject to the requirements and policies set by the college or university they wish to enroll in.

Aside from pursuing higher education, the ALS A&E High School Level passers also have another option – to take skills development programs under the skills training institutions.

Among the training institutions wherein ALS A&E passers may take skills development programs is the Technical Educational and Skills Development Authority or TESDA.

A&E High School Level passers may also enroll as Grade 11 in the educational institutions that are offering Senior High School.

On social media, Facebook page DepEd Philippines have posted some answers to queries regarding the DepEd Order No. 27. Here are some of the answers to the common questions among the ALS A&E High School Level passers.

As of the writing, the Department of Education has yet to release the full results of the March 2018 ALS A&E passers on its official website. Meanwhile, they have started sending the results to the regional offices and some photos of the results are circulating on social media.
