Class Suspensions On Monday (June 25)
Class suspensions have been declared by several local government units on Monday (June 25, 2018) due to a transport strike.
On Monday (June 25, 2018), classes will be suspended in some areas have been declared because of the transport strike.
Transportation groups declared to hold a strike to protest over the government’s plan to phase-out jeepney and increased fuel prices as an effect of TRAIN law.
Transport groups such as the Pinagkaisang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide (Piston) and the No To Jeepney Phase Out Coalition (NTJPOC) urges the public transport operators and drivers to join the protest.
The upcoming transport strike has prompted several local government units to declare the suspension of classes in the affected areas.
Here are the areas covered by class cancellation for Monday (June 25).
- Camalig, Albay – All levels, Public and Private
- Daraga, Albay – All levels
- Jovellar, Albay – All levels
- University of Santo-Tomas Legaspi – Classes in All levels and Work are Suspended
