PAGASA: Southwest Monsoon Expected To Bring Rains Over Some Parts Of The Country

The state weather bureau PAGASA said that the southwest monsoon was expected to bring rain over some parts of the country.

On Saturday (June 23, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the southwest monsoon would bring thunderstorms and rain showers over some parts of Luzon.

PAGASA said that “Habagat” will continue to affect the western section of Northern and Central Luzon.

The southwest monsoon would bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos, Zambales, Bataan, and Palawan.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience hot and humid weather with isolated rain showers every afternoon or at night.

The weather agency warned the residents to be prepared for possible flashfloods and landslides due to occasionally heavy rains.

The weather bureau also said that Visayas and Mindanao will have high temperatures.

PAGASA announces that there is no weather disturbance detected within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
