AGOT ISIDRO – Actress Agot Isidro broke her silence on the labels to her for speaking out against the administration of Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

One of the celebrities who are undeniably vocal when it comes to their opinions is actress Agot Isidro. Based on a report, the actress is known as a critic of the Duterte administration after she has previously aired out her opinion on certain matters.

Agot is one of those who are being considered for the ‘Resistance Slate’ that the Liberal Party will be forming according to Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan. It has elicited reactions from the people – some are vocal about their support while others don’t want the actress to get into the political arena.

As per another report, the other people who are being considered for the ‘Resistance Slate’ are Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino, Magdalo Representative Gary Alejano, and Atty. Jose Manuel ‘Chel’ Diokno.

Also, Liberal Party internal affairs Vice President Lorenzo ‘Erin’ Tañada III and former Akbayan Representative Barry Gutierrez are also being considered for the LP’s “Resistance Slate”.

Meanwhile, Agot Isidro has yet to express her final say with regards to the possibility of running for Senator in 2019 Senatorial Elections. Previously, what she expressed is that she is happy in the acting field.

Because of being vocal about her opinions, the actress has been given different labels – ‘Dilawan’ and ‘Yellowtards’ being among those labels. She has also experienced being bashed.

Speaking to Pep at the 66th FAMAS Award Night, Agot Isidro broke her silence on being given labels. According to her, everyone who is against is being tagged as ‘Dilawan’. She stressed that it is wrong.

“Nung panahon din naman ng previous administration… I’m very vocal. Kung mayroong mali, sinasabi ko naman… Mamasapano and all that. Hindi ako, kumbaga, take sides. I take sides with my principle,” she said.

Based on the report, Agot Isidro also expressed that part of speaking out is inviting “resistance” as well. According to her, she does not really get affected by bashers and she believes in her principles.

“We all have the right to speak because we pay taxes, we live in this country… Kumbaga, amplify the good, pero punahin natin ang mali,” the actress expressed.

Based on the report, Agot Isidro was not surprised but she is disappointed with the controversial kiss of the President. Meanwhile, according to her, lots of people have already spoken about it and she no longer wants to make a comment.
