Low-Pressure Areas Spotted Inside PAR To Affect These Following Areas

Two low-pressure areas have been spotted inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and expected to affect these following areas.

On Friday (June 01, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced that at least two LPA’s were spotted inside PAR along with Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The weather disturbances are located at 335 kilometers west-southwest of Puerto Princesa, Palawan and at 900 kilometers east-southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, according to the available data.

Palawan would experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms due to LPA.

ITCZ would bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms in Mindanao and eastern and western Visayas.

PAGASA has warned the residents to be always alert and prepare for possible flashfloods and landslides.

Low-Pressure AreasMetro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal waters over western Visayas, Palawan, and Mindanao would be moderate to occasionally rough.

However, the rest of the country will have a rough to slight coastal water conditions.
