Department Store Posts Message for Netizen Shopper

DEPARTMENT STORE – A department store mentioned in a trending social media post released a statement regarding the alleged experience of a shopper.

Recently, a post about the alleged ‘modus’ of department stores during promo and sale periods crossed the social media. It was posted on the Facebook account of ‘Arnel Tugade’ and it has garnered more than forty-thousand shares as of the writing.

Based on a report, the netizen claimed in his social media post that he was convinced to buy a kitchenware item at the SM department store as the item was on sale and there is a 10% discount.

However, according to him, when he was about to pay for the item at the cashier of the department store, he found out the original price of the item is allegedly lower than its discounted price.

According to the report, the merchandizer was allegedly called and the merchandizer defended that there is just an error in the tag price placed in the item. A complaint letter was allegedly made and signed by Tugade and a manager of the department store but he was not given his copy.

Furthermore, the netizen claimed in social media post that instead of giving a copy of the complaint to him, it was torn by another manager and he was told to just make a complaint through the Online Customer Care of the shopping mall.

Recently, on its social media account, The SM Store released a statement regarding the complaint of the shopper. The statement is addressed to Mr. Arnel Tugade. Based on the statement, 20% discount was allegedly availed by the shopper as there was a system error.
