Breaking News: DepEd Announces Official Date for Opening of Classes in Public Schools

DepEd Getting Ready for the Opening of Classes for SY 2018-2019

DEPED – The Department of Education has announced the official date for the opening of classes in the public schools around the Philippines.

Currently, the administration and staff of the different schools around the country are busy preparing for the opening of classes for the school year 2018-2019. Enrolment is already done in several educational institutions.

With regards to the opening of classes in the public schools around the country, the DepEd has recently announced that it will be on June 4 which will fall on a Monday based on a report in Manila Bulletin.

Reportedly, the announcement came along with a statement of the DepEd announcing that it is preparing for the opening of the school year through the “Oplan Balik Eskwela” 2018.


According to the report, the Department of Education is determined to pursue the reactivation of the National OBE for the upcoming school year. It is from May 21 until June 8 and it will be at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan in the department’s Central Office in the city of Pasig.
