Series Of Earthquakes Struck Different Areas In Mindanao On Wednesday (May 16)

The state seismology agency Phivolcs reports that a series of earthquakes have struck different areas in the region of Mindanao.

On Wednesday (May 16, 2018), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported that different areas in Mindanao have been struck by two consecutive earthquakes.

Around 7:31 am, a magnitude 3.0 earthquake was felt 12 kilometers north at the town of Buldon in Maguindanao province. The quake has a depth of 1 kilometer and tectonic in origin.

Different Areas

8:02 am, a magnitude 3.2 tremor jolts 3 kilometers south of Buldon with a depth of 9 kilometers and also tectonic in origin.

8:31 am, a magnitude 3.3 quake struck 7 kilometers north of Bundol.

8:57 am, Davao Occidental has been also struck by a magnitude 2.4 earthquake with a depth of 178 kilometers.
