GirlTrend member Sammie Rimando admits dating Arjo Atayde
SAMMIE RIMANDO- Sammie Rimando, member of ‘It’s Showtime’ girl group ‘GirlTrends’, confirmed her relationship with ‘Hanggang Saan’ star Arjo Atayde.
Sammie, now 20 years old, first hooked the spotlight as a social media star after her Musical.ly videos started circulating online. She further rose to fame when she became a member of ‘GirlTrends’, the supposed counterpart of boy group ‘Hashtags’ on noontime variety show ‘It’s Showtime’.
On the other hand, Arjo Atayde established his own name in the showbiz industry for his recognizable acting prowess. Arjo’s prominent roles in ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ and ‘Hanggang Saan’ proved he is not just the son of the veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez.
The two were formerly rumored to be exclusively dating after they were spotted holding each other’s hands as they are about to jump off a yacht. However, both have remained reserved with regards to the circulating issue, with Arjo resolutely wishes for privacy, as mentioned in a previous report.
While the speculated couple has persisted in secrecy for some time since the rumors surfaced, Sammie finally broke her long silence concerning her affiliation with the actor.
Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, on May 10, Sammie was invited for an interview in DZMM Teleradyo to promote her upcoming appearance on the real-life drama anthology series ‘Ipaglaban Mo’ this Saturday.
The GirlTrend member hardly gave a second thought when she candidly answered a certain question in the interview whether they are in a relationship with a plain “opo”.
Her straightforward revelation seemed to have astonished the radio host Ariel Ureta, who had to confirm to make sure whether or not she understood it and gave an accurate answer.
Although it is now definite that they are together, it still remains uncertain whether how long they have been tightlipped about their real status.
As of the report, Arjo previously disclosed about being “happy” with his love life in late 2017 but has never mentioned who his real-life partner was.
