Why did Sofia Andres’ character in ‘Bagani’ died early?
SOFIA ANDRES – Young Kapamilya actress Sofia Andres broke her silence on her early exit in ABS-CBN’s fantasy series Bagani.
One of the shows that are part of the primetime set of the Kapamilya network is the fantasy series Bagani which is mainly starred by loveteam partners Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. Makisig Morales, Sofia Andres, and Matteo Guidicelli are also among the main casts or the baganis.
Enrique and Liza or collectively called by their fans and supporters as ‘LizQuen’ play the roles of Lakas and Ganda respectively while Makisig, Sofia, and Matteo play the roles of Dumakulem, Mayari, and Liksi respectively.

Sofia Andres who recently broke her silence on her split with actor Diego Loyzaga based on a report also spoke regarding the death of her character in Bagani.
Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), speaking to the source, the actress revealed that it is really part of the plot that Mayari will die. She was informed about it from the very start.
“Sabi ko, kailan kaya ako mamamatay, so seventh week na pala yon, ang bilis pala. Pero okay lang, at least I was part of it,” she said.
Sofia Andres admitted that she misses doing a taping for Bagani as all the casts are her friends. When asked if Mayari would return, the young actress expressed that she hopes she will.
It is no secret to the public that Sofia is one of those celebrities who has faced criticisms from the people. Based on the report, the actress has realized that it is about getting used to it.
“Pero sanayan din lang po pala dito sa showbiz,” she said.
According to her, it’s really her mother who gets worried about the issues and she tells her that the people will soon forget it and there is a room for improvement. Based on the report, she looks at the criticisms in a constructive way.
