PDEA Releases Names Of Barangay Officials Included On Duterte’s Narco List
PDEA has already released the names of the barangay officials who were listed under the narco list of President Rodrigo Duterte.
On Monday (April 30, 2018), the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has named the barangay officials who were allegedly linked to illegal drugs.
Chief Director General Aaron Aquino and Department of the Interior and Local Government Officer-in-Charge Eduardo Año led the releasing of the list.
The narco list contains about 200 names of barangay officials from different parts of the Philippines.
PDEA admitted that they don’t have enough evidence to prove the allegations against local officials, although they are confident about publicly naming the officials.
The names were all validated before announcing the names of the barangay officials in public, according to PDEA chief Aquino.
PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency, or the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines were the following agencies who checked the names.
The list released by Malacañang Palace was only a short list of a longer roll allegedly containing over 6, 000 names.
