Manny Pacquiao Clarifies Relationship with Freddie Roach

MANNY PACQUIAO – Boxer-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao clarified his relationship with his long-time coach Freddie Roach amid the decision to train with Buboy Fernandez for his July 15 match.

One of the world’s most prominent boxer, Manny Pacquiao, is set for another awaited match on July 15. Based on a report, he is set for a match with Lucas Matthysse of Argentina.

Pacquiao is known worldwide for his skills and success in the field of boxing. He is one of those Filipinos who own a rags-to-riches story and his skills in boxing greatly helped him take his family out of poverty. He is currently one of the wealthy personalities in the Philippines.

One of the people who were always on the corner of Manny Pacquiao whenever he has a match is Freddie Roach, his coach.

Pacquiao and Roach have worked together for more than a decade that is why many people were surprised when reports that the boxing champ would have a different coach on his match with Matthysse crossed the surface.

In a statement, the long-time coach of Pacquiao admitted that he was hurt but he stressed that his hurt is outweighed by the good times that they shared together.

Meanwhile, based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, Sen. Manny Pacquiao is not closing his doors with regards to working with Freddie Roach again but he would train with Buboy Fernandez for his match with Lucas Matthysse.

Reportedly, speaking at the sidelines of his press conference for his upcoming match, the Filipino boxer stressed that he and Roach are like a family.

“Freddie and I have good relations. We’re like family,” Pacman expressed.

Based on the report, Manny Pacquiao and Lucas Matthysse’s match for the welterweight title will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 15.
