Coleen Garcia, Billy Crawford’s Parents Present at Actress’ Despedida de Soltera
COLEEN GARCIA – The mother of actress Coleen Garcia, Maripaz Magsaysay, admitted that she initially did not approve of the relationship of her daughter with Kapamilya television host Billy Crawford.
Celebrity couple Coleen Garcia and Billy Crawford, who became close to each other in the ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime based on a report, are officially tying the knot soon.
Coleen Garcia recently had a Despedida de Soltera. It was a nautical-themed party based on the photos that are circulating online.
Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), Coleen Garcia’s mother, Maripaz Magsaysay, planned for the event. The parents of Billy Crawford were also present at the celebration.
According to Maripaz, she got really emotional when she saw the mother of her soon-to-be son-in-law as she knows how the Pilipinas Got Talent host longs for the love and presence of his parents so she really knows what he felt when the doctor gave his parents the go signal to go home.
“Kasi pag wala ang mommy ni Billy, kasi ako ang laging tinatawagan niya, good or bad news, he would always call me every day to update me, ganun,” she said.
Based on the report, Coleen Garcia’s mother admitted that she did not initially approve to the idea of having Billy Crawford as her son-in-law as she does not want her daughter to get hurt. Meanwhile, she kept her disapproval to herself.
“Kasi ayoko lang masaktan yung anak ko. Yung ma-judge siya, parang ang daming bashers or whatever mag-ko-comment. Eh you can’t please everyone. I just don’t like my daughter to get hurt and I trust her decision naman,” she revealed.
Meanwhile, Billy Crawford was able to win the heart of the actress’ mother. Maripaz even described the PGT host as a “nice guy” and a kind and good person who knows how to make up for his mistakes.
“He’s a good person. He has a good heart. He’s very kind. Sobra,” Coleen’s mother said about Billy.
Since the engagement of the celebrity couple, they have remained tight-lipped over the exact date of their wedding day. Recently, it was Kapamilya television host Toni Gonzaga, Billy’s co-host in PGT, who shared that they are officially the knot this April 20 as she sends her best wishes to the couple.
