Why did former Kapuso star Ryza Cenon move to the Kapamilya network?
RYZA CENON – Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya actress Ryza Cenon revealed the reason behind her transfer from the GMA-7 to the ABS-CBN network.
Actress Ryza Cenon is undeniably one of the finest stars in the Philippine entertainment industry. One of her recent projects is the film Mr. and Mrs. Cruz with Kapamilya actor JC Santos. Based on a report, she even won an international award for her performance in the film.
The then-Kapuso actress reportedly bagged the Yakushi Pearl Award (Best Performer) at the Osaka Asian Film Festival. It was Liza Diño, the chairperson of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, who confirmed the success of the Mr. and Mrs. Cruz actress.
Ryza Cenon has been under the GMA-7 for several years. Recently, news reports announcing her network transfer broke out.
Based on a recent report in Philippines’ Ultimate Showbiz Hub (PUSH), Ryza Cenon is now officially a Kapamilya. She recently signed a contract with ABS-CBN network.
Present at the contract signing of the Kapuso-turned-Kapamilya actress were Kapamilya bosses Carlo Katigbak, Cory Vidanes, and Direk Lauren Dyogi.
According to the report, the first project of Ryza Cenon under her new home network is to star in the ABS-CBN’s primetime action television series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano which is mainly starred by actor Coco Martin.
Speaking to the press, the actress admitted that she is excited but nervous at the same time. She expressed that she really needs to give her best in the TV series.
Based on the report, Ryza Cenon faced the question regarding the real reason behind her network transfer. According to her, she wanted to “explore” everything and she wanted to work with other excellent artists and learn from them.
The now-Kapamilya actress also revealed that it was Viva talent agency which decided for her as they have a plan for her and she respects their decision. Meanwhile, she expressed that she is thankful to GMA-7 and stressed that the network was the one who gave her a break.
