KZ Tandingan is representing and bearing the Philippines in the international competition “Singer 2018” in China and is continuing to capture the hearts of the Chinese audience.
However, she might be eliminated at the competition but she returned for the breakout round in order to grab a spot to be in the finals.
And recently, she performed Freddie Aguilar’s hit creation “Anak” and the way she sang it is definitely touching and heartbreaking.

One netizen’s comment on her performance indicated, “Sometimes it’s not about winning. Sometimes it’s all about how you become an impact and inspiration to the people who look unto you and listen to whatever you say. And in this case, KZ became a huge impact and inspiration to all filipinos, filipino singers.”
She has indeed set the audience in silence and everyone was definitely touched as to how she performed the song with so much emotion.
According to a previous report, Soul Supreme KZ is supposed to sing the hit OPM song in the finals but due to her unexpected elimination on the 9th episode, she chose to perform it during the breakout round.
And her reason why she chose the song is that it is accordingly “one of the most beautiful OPM ever written”.
She added, “And alam mo ‘yun nakaka-proud na may OPM song na sobrang sikat sa ibang bansa na kung hindi nila trinanslate, hindi nila maiintindihan di ba?Kumbaga nagkaroon ng connection ang ibang lahi sa kanta ng mga Pinoy.”
