“Determined” KZ Tandingan Returns To Singer 2018 For Breakout Round

KZ Tandingan is back to “Singer 2018”.

KZ TANDINGAN – The Pinoy singer KZ Tandingan is back to international competition “Singer 2018” in China for the “Breakout Round”.

KZ Tandingan is the first ever grand champion in the first season of the “X-Factor Philippines”.

After her winning, she became famous and entered the limelight of the music industry and was even tagged as the “Soul Supreme” of the Philippines.

KZ is known for her jazzy renditions of the songs she sings and for being really good in rapping.

And lately, she was able to conquer the international stage when she joined the “Singer 2018” where she landed on the top spot beating her great musical influence and idol Jessie J who is a regular contender of the said singing competition.

On her debut performance, she performed a jazz version of Adele’s hit song “Rolling in the Deep” with a rap at the latter which took the Chinese audience in awe.

However, getting real for it was a competition, she got eliminated last month in the 9th episode of the competition.

But KZ is definitely returning for the breakout round of the competition.

According to a report from the Inquirer, KZ returns today and she is going to perform the Mandarin version of Freddie Aguilar’s greatest hit “Anak” which she “practiced tirelessly”.

“I started by transcribing the lyrics in Pinyin (the official system for romanizing Chinese characters) using Google Translate to make it readable and understandable. I also met up with my Mandarin teacher to practice the pronunciation and phrasing of the words … I memorized everything in four days,” she said.

“I was told that its Mandarin and Cantonese versions were popular in China,” she said. “And it’d be great to perform an OPM classic.”
