Alternative Tourist Destinations When Boracay Closure Was Implemented
Here are some alternative tourist destinations in the country when the total closure of Boracay Island has been implemented.
Earlier this week, Malacañang Palace announced the temporary closure of Boracay Island for six months starting April 26, 2018.
The total closure of the country’s top tourist spot will allow the government to rehabilitate and revive the island, according to Presidential spokesman Harry Roque.
Local airlines have already canceled flights to Boracay because of its impending closure, which might affect the tourism in the country.
However, there are still numerous alternative tourist destinations in the Philippines aside from the famous Boracay Island.
Tourists can still visit beautiful resorts and beaches in the country including the underground river located in Puerto Princesa in Palawan.
The Hinatuan Enchanted River in Surigao del Sur is also one of the best tourist spots in the country.
People could also visit the Hundred Island in Pangasinan for island hopping and numerous destination in the Philippines.
