 Netizen’s Complaint Over A Jeepney Driver’s Behavior Goes Viral on Social Media

JEEPNEY DRIVER – A social media post entailing a complaint of a passenger about a smoking jeepney driver caught the attention of the netizens on Facebook.

It is no secret to the people that smoking really has negative effects on one’s health. Sadly, it does not only affect the health of the person who is doing it but as well as the health of the people who get to inhale the smoke.

The saddest part is that not all of the people who are into smoking thinks of the welfare of the people around them or, at least, just a little consideration most especially when they are doing it in public places.

Smoking in public places is prohibited. However, there are still people who are not obeying it although their activity can put one’s health at risk.

Recently, a netizen expressed her alleged experience when she rode on a jeepney with a smoking driver. The viral social media post can be found on the Facebook page of Philippines Reports and the source of the post is a certain “Leah Gorom”.

Based on the post, the passenger-netizen was on her way home in a hot weather that triggered her asthma when she rode a jeepney with a smoking driver. She admitted that she was not able to stop herself from informing the jeepney driver about the smoking policy.

“Sinabhan ko siya ng, ‘kuya excuse po, pero bawal po manigarilyo in public place,'” the post reads.

According to the passenger, she continued listening to the phone that was playing on her phone and, later on, she noticed that the jeepney driver allegedly kept on talking. She claimed that she was even told by the driver that she could have ridden a taxi if she does not want to inhale the smoke.

“Marami pa siyang sinabi pero hindi ko naman maintindhan.”

Based on the post, an old woman reacted to the incident and expressed that students nowadays are really boastful. The passenger stressed that she told the jeepney driver in the softest way she can also she is already “triggered” as she is suffering from her asthma.

The post went viral on the social media. The video posted has already reached more than two thousand eight hundred views on Facebook. Lots of netizens also left comments to the post.
