Pinoy Boxer Manny Pacquiao Joins Cryptocurrency Hype Based In Singapore

The Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao has already joined the cryptocurrency hype and invested in a Singaporean cryptocurrency startup.

On Wednesday (March 14, 2018), the Singaporean based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) announced that the Filipino Senator Manny Pacquiao has invested an undisclosed amount of cash in the company.

The company also said that the boxer turned lawmaker is now their latest celebrity ambassador and will use the GCOX’s cryptocurrency services.

The Singaporean cryptocurrency will allow the supporters of Pacman to interact through a virtual token called PAC Coin.

The virtual token will also enable users to avail the Pacquiao-related content exclusive to GCOX’s platforms.

“In this symbiotic ecosystem, ACM is traded for Celebrity Tokens via our proprietary exchange. Celebrity tokens can then be used by fans to redeem goods and services on the core business platforms,” GOX said quoted by MSN.

It was not the first time that the Pinoy lawmaker had invested in Singapore. In 2014, Pacman bought an undisclosed amount of shares in a mixed martial arts media company “ONE Championship”.
