Magnitude 4.0 Earthquake Shook Eastern Samar
The state volcanology agency Phivolcs announced that a magnitude 4.0 earthquake has struck the province of Eastern Samar.
Around 3:44 am on Saturday early morning (March 10, 2018), the province of Eastern Samar has been shaken by a magnitude 4.0 earthquake.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said that the tremor has been detected about 56 kilometers northeast of San Policarpio town.
The seismology agency said that the tremor was tectonic in origin and rattled the area at a depth of about five kilometers.
As of this writing, there is still no damage has been reported and no tsunami alert warning has been raised due to the quake.
