Coconut Vendor Who Got Beaten By MMDA During Operation Arrested

The coconut vendor who got mauled by the MMDA personnel during their clearing operation has been arrested.

Previously, the controversial video footage of Manila Development Authority (MMDA) beating a coconut vendor during their clearing operation.

In the video, it can be seen that the MMDA personnel tied up and mauled the helpless ‘Buko’ vendor along the vicinity of EDSA-Evangelista footbridge in Pasay City.

The street vendor has been identified as Romnick Relos who went to ‘Raffy Tulfo in Action’ seeking justice for what happened to him.

The MMDA has also issued a 15-day preventive suspension order against the three personnel because of their alleged cruelty towards the vendor.

Raffy Tulfo has contacted the MMDA spokesperson asking for an update regarding the suspension of the guilty MMDA officers.

Eventually, the authorities found out that the Mr. Romnick Relos has been involved in a murder case, which was happened in Masbate way back in 2007.

Tulfo along with his staff have staged a ‘settlement scene’ between the involved personnel and the Mr. Relos until one of the cops came to shake the hand of the vendor.

Unexpectedly, the police read the Miranda Rights and handcuffed him.

The MMDA spokesperson said that the coconut vendor was reprimanded for its improper disposal of his waste coming from the coconut.
