ISABELLE DE LEON – The young actress Isabelle De Leon along with Jiro Manio has together recreated their nostalgic scene from the award-winning film “Magnifico”.
The record-breaking film “Magnico” is directed by the late award-winning Director Maryo J. De Los Reyes.
The film starred Jiro Manio, Lorna Tolentino, Albert Martinez, Gloria Romero, and among others.
Magnifico gained international acclaim as an indie film in major international film festivals gaining 31 wins and 11 other nominations.
It has bagged the Crystal Bear for the 2004 Berlin International Film Festival Children’s Category as well as the Deutsches Kinderhilfswerk Grand Prix, seven major awards in the FAMAS Awards, seven awards in the Gawad Urian Awards, seven awards in the Golden Screen Awards and six awards in the FAP Awards in its home country.
And lately, on the Instagram of Isabelle, she and Jiro recreated their iconic pose where Jiro’s character, Pikoy, was carrying her as she is playing the role of Helen, Pikoy’s little sister with a disability.
Along with the photo, she wrote, “”MAGNIFICO” Maraming salamat sa pag buhat mo sakin 11 years ago kuya jiro! pero hayaan mo na ikaw naman ang buhatin namin ngayon..hindi naging madali ang buhay, pero tandaan mo na hindi nasusukat ang tao sa kanyang pag bagsak…”
“Kung hindi sa kung paano tayong babangon mula dito… maaring di tayo nakita ni direk maryo sa muli nating pag ta-tagpo..but im sure naka ngiti sya mula sa langit sa muli mong pagbabalik! Hinihintay ka ng industriyang nag ma-mahal sayo,” she further wrote.

“Sana gumawa ang pelikulang pilipino ng ganung story ulit yung may puso, yung may kurot sa isipan ng bawat pilipino! Happy to see you both isabela and jiro God bless you both,” says another.
