Here are the things you need to remember for a faster transaction when you are planning to apply to get a UMID card.
The Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID) is a single card developed to avoid the hassles of bringing different ID’s when processing in different government agencies.
This 4-in-1 identification card is one of the most powerful IDs in the Philippines because it was be also used as a valid ID in major transactions.
This card was also used by the agency responsible for implementing the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the Pag-IBIG Fund (Home Development Mutual Fund).
Here are some important reminders when applying for a UMID card:

UMID card features the owner’s face, signature, and common reference number (CRN) or SSS number on the front.

Hi.. i already have a UMID issued by SSS and i recently applied for another one from GSIS since i am already working at a govt agency now. It has already been more than a year and i have not received a new card from GSIS. I am thinking that maybe the reason for the delay is bec. I already have the SSS umid. What should I do now? Do i just need to update it? If yes, with which agency? I’d really appreciate if my questions can be answered here since GSIS itself do not know what i need to do. Thank you so much in advance.
