Identity, Photos Of Dead Filipina Found Inside A Freezer In Kuwait Revealed
The identity and photos of the dead Filipina found inside the freezer for over a year in an apartment in Kuwait has been finally revealed.
Previously, the reports regarding the dead body of a Filipina domestic helper has been found inside the freezer of an apartment in Kuwait owned by a Lebanese man and a Syrian woman with a Pinay maid.
The couple allegedly leaves the apartment due to the arrest warrant served against the Lebanese man last 2016.
Recently, the identity of the dead Filipina maid has been finally revealed after Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III released the result of the DNA test.
The Pinay domestic helper has been identified as Joanna Daniela Demafelis, a 29-year-old native of Iloilo.
The remains of Demafelis is now under the custody of Kuwait Criminal Evidence Department for an autopsy.
The authorities also find out that the Pinay maid allegedly suffered from maltreatment and choked to death.
Demafelis flew to Kuwait last May 18, 2014, according to the records of Philippine Overseas Labor Office.
Another Filipina living in the same apartment building revealed that Demafelis suffered maltreatment from her employers. She last saw the late Filipina maid last September 2016.
“Last kami nagkausap September 2016 doon sa may bintana tapos nong bumaba siya, nakita ko siya doon banda, tapos tinanong ko siya kumusta siya, sabi niya sa akin hindi daw maganda, kasi ang daw amo niya sinasaktan siya, delayed ang sahod,” the Filipina witness said.
