Pres. Rodrigo Duterte orders foreign exploration in Benham Rise to stop.
BENHAM RISE – The Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte ordered that the foreign explorations in Benham Rise or also known as the Philippine Rise must be ended.
The Benham Rise or also known as the Philippine Rise is a seismically active undersea region and extinct volcanic ridge located in the Philippine Sea approximately 250 km (160 mi) east of the northern coastline of Dinapigue, Isabela.
The President Duterte is the one who signed the Executive Order No. 25 renaming the region to Philippine Rise.
Thus, according to a report from the GMA News’ Facebook page, the president himself ordered that foreign explorations in Benham Rise should be stopped.

He declared that it is accordingly OURS and is not open to everybody says Agriculture Sec. Manny Piñol.
