P6.4 Billion Shabu Shipment Consignee ‘Eirene Tatad’ Reportedly Caught
EIRENE TATAD – The consignee of the P6.4 billion shabu shipment from China, Eirene Mae Tatad, was arrested in Iloilo this morning.
The shabu shipment from China which is worth P6.4 billion is currently one of the topics on top. Based on a recent report in RMN Iloilo, the consignee of the said illegal shipment, Eirene Tatad, has recently been arrested by the authorities.
According to the report, Tatad was arrested in Iloilo this morning. It was not yet confirmed by Attorney Max Salvador, the director of the National Bureau of Investigation, if the consignee of the multi-billion illegal shipment is a native of Iloilo.
NBI Public Information Officer Nick Suarez has expressed that Eirene Tatad is set to be brought to the headquarters of the NBI in Manila.

Based on the report, Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 46 has released an arrest order against Eirene Tatad. The said order is due to violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Act of 2002.
There is also an order to arrest Dong Yi Shen Xi alias Kenneth Dong, Li Guang Feng alias Manny Li, Teejan Marcellana, Jhu Ming Jhyun, Chen Rong Juan, Chen I-Min, and Customs fixer Mark Taguba. The said Customs fixer has already surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation.
On the Facebook page of RMN Iloilo, the news about the arrest of the consignee of the P6.4 shabu shipment from China, Eirene Tatad, elicited various comments from netizens.
