Filipino Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao To Return As Undercard Fighter For Crawford-Horn Match?
The Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquaio would really return to the ring as an undercard fighter for Crawford-Horn match in April 2018?
Top Rank Inc. boss Bob Arum was thinking to insert the Pinoy boxing champion in the same card wherein Terrence Crawford and Jeff Horn would fight.
The Australian Horn would fight the undisputed super lightweight king after dethroning Pacman from being the WBO welterweight champion last July 2017.
The Crawford-Horn match was reportedly set on April 14, 2018, at the Madison Square Garden in New York City or April 21 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
However, the Pinoy boxer could be a part of the Crawford-Horn match either in the main event or undercard.
Arum also said that they were currently looking for Pacquiao’s opponent in his next fight and if he wins, the Filipino boxer would take on the winner of the Crawford-Horn match.
It would be intriguing if the boxing champion and now Senator Pacquiao would be willing to be an undercard fighter, which he hasn’t done since 2005 after beating Hector Velasquez.
The Top Rank promoter said that everything is still up for discussion and finalization since Pacquiao really wanted to come back.
“Don’t want to be too premature about that, but we’re working on it as we speak. Pacquiao seems like he wants to come back, so we’re trying to get that finalized,” Arum said quoted by Philstar.
