Cancellation Of Classes On Wednesday (January 17)

Here is the list of the areas wherein the cancellation of classes was made because of the bad weather condition caused by the tail-end of a cold front.

On Wednesday (January 17, 2018), class suspensions have been declared in some provinces in the Philippines due to the inclement weather condition.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has also raised an orange warning to the provinces of Albay, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Catanduanes, and Sorsogon.

Classes

The orange warning indicates possible flash floods in low-lying areas and areas near river systems.

PAGASA said that the bad weather was brought by the tail-end of a cold front and Northeast monsoon affecting the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, and Northern Luzon respectively.

Classes

Here are the areas covered by the class suspension:

  • Albay – All Levels
  • Camarines Sur – All Levels
  • Tacloban City – Pre-School to High-School
  • Virac, Catanduanes – Pre-School to High-School

The state weather bureau also warned the fisher folks that sea ventures remain risky due to the rough waters, which may generate about 4-meter waves.
