Ryan Cayabyab laments over pulling out of “Ang Larawan” in Trinoma.
ANG LARAWAN – Famous Filipino musician Ryan Cayabyab expressed his sadness after the film “Ang Larawan” has been pulled out in some cinemas.
Ryan Cayabyab is a veteran and a very famous Filipino musician, composer, and conductor.
His works range from commissioned full-length ballets, theater musicals, choral pieces, a Mass set to an unaccompanied chorus, and orchestral pieces, to commercial recordings of popular music, film scores, and television specials.
Some of his masterpieces are Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika, Bato sa Buhangin, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Dahil sa Iyo, Ang Tangi Kong Pag-ibig, Tuwing Umuulan at Kapiling Ka, Tunay na Ligaya, Da Coconut Nut, Iniibig Kita, Kampana ng Simbahan, Kumukutikutitap, Noche Buena, Pasko Na Naman, Pasko Na Sinta Ko, Babalik, Ka Rin, Sa Ugoy ng Duyan, Sana’y Wala Ng Wakas, Pangako, Pangarap na Bituin, Pagdating Ng Panahon, Kailangan Kita, Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Walang Hanggan, and a lot more.
And one of the official entries in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2017 is the musical film “Ang Larawan” directed by Loy Arcenal starring Joanna Ampil, Rachel Alejandro, Paulo Avelino, Aicelle Santos, Nonie Buencamino, and among others.
In the musical film is where Cayabyab is the musical director.
The reason why the veteran musician lamented over film losing a spot in some cinemas.
On the Twitter account of Cayabyab is where he expressed, “So…we lost out in Trinoma. Our film Larawan will be replaced tomorrow. Hope we get a return engagement. Thanks very much to those who supported the film today!!!! People who watched today were profuse in praise. Salamat muli! Try catching it in other cinemas.”
“Try catching it where it is still showing. It will suffer the same fate if people don’t watch as soon as they can. I still have my fingers crossed. am hopeful!”
