Court of Appeals Rejects The Request Of Jason Ivler To Overturn Court’s Decision On Murder Case Against Him
The Court of Appeals (CA) has rejected the request of Jason Ivler to overturn the court’s decision on the murder case filed against him.
The request of Jason Ivler’s camp to overturn the decision of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court regarding the murder case against him for killing the child of a former government official.
According to some reports, the Court of Appeals favored the first ruling of QC-RTC’s ‘reclusion perpetua’ against Ivler last 2015.
In 2009, Jason Ivler was involved in a road rage incident due to a traffic altercation with Renato Ebarle Jr., the son of former Presidential Chief of Staff undersecretary Renato Ebarle Sr.
Ebarle died from multiple gunshots implicated by Ivler during the road rage incident. Jason is the nephew of the famous Filipino music icon Freddie Aguilar.
Ivler did not surrender himself immediately to the authorities after committing the crime.
In January 2010, Ivler was involved in a shootout against the agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) who arrested him at the house of her mother Marlene Aguilar.
