Churches Nationwide Filled With Filipino Devotees For The First Day of Simbang Gabi

Filipino people across the nation have woke up early dawn and rushed to Churches to join the first day of Simbang Gabi (Dawn M(–foul word(s) removed–)).

On Saturday early morning (December 16, 2017), the Filipino Catholics throughout the entire country have joined the first day of ‘Simbang Gabi,’ the traditional nine dawn m(–foul word(s) removed–) up to Christmas Day (December 25).

Thousands or millions of devotees in the Philippines have attended the dawn m(–foul word(s) removed–) as a part of the Filipino culture and tradition.

The Sta. Isabel Cathedral in Isabela City, Basilan was filled with hundreds of devotees despite the bad weather condition.

The Filipino Catholics also filled the churches in Calapan City, Mindoro during the start of nine traditional ‘Simbang Gabi’.

Traditional churchgoers, city police personnel, together with Reverend Father Philip Anthony Dimagiba has officiated the Eucharistic celebration during the dawn mass in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

The traditional dawn mass in the most parish churches in Metro Manila usually starts at 4:30 am. While devotees of Manila’s Quiapo Church arrived about as early as 4 am for Simbang Gabi.

Metro Manila police personnel also arrived early to secure the safety of the Filipino devotees from security threats.
