Class Suspension On Monday (Dec 4) Due To Nationwide Transport Strike

Local government units announced the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) on Monday (December 04, 2017) due to nationwide transport strike.

Metro Manila, Philippines – the transport groups “No to Jeepney Phaseout Coalition” and “Pinagkaisahang Samahan ng mga Tsuper at Operator Nationwide” have declared a two-day jeepney strike.

The groups were planning to set the nationwide transport strike on December 4 and 5 (Monday and Tuesday) to show their opposition to the jeepney modernization program proposed by Duterte administration last October.

The proposed two-day transport strike has prompted several local government units to suspend the cl(–foul word(s) removed–) and government offices throughout the entire country.

A Facebook user named Joan Carreon has also announced the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in Guagua, Pampanga during the transport strike, while government offices were still open as municipal vehicles and barangay service vehicles will be used to serve and pick up stranded commuters.

PDRRMC also issued an advisory announcing the class suspension of all levels on Monday in both private and public schools except for the schools located in the island and remote areas that will be determined by the local school authorities.
