MJ Lastimosa Responds To Rachel Peters’ Bashers
2014 Miss Universe finalist MJ Lastimosa has finally responded to the bashers of Miss Universe 2017 candidate Rachel Peters.
Over the past few days, the Filipino-British model Rachel Peters has been the headlines of local news outlets and social media pages after failing to make it to the Top 5 of the Miss Universe 2017.
Mary Jean Lastimosa, a finalist during the Miss Universe 2014 finally breaks her silence regarding the criticism received by Peters from her bashers.
Lastimosa was present at the #JustLove Kapamilya Trade Launch together with the cast of the top rating TV series “La Luna Sangre” wherein she gave her message for Rachel Peters and respond to its bashers.
The 30-year-old beauty queen said that Peters should embrace what she feels, although it was sad not making it to the cut, her life must go on for there are still a lot of opportunities.
MJ also advised the Filipino-British beauty to apologize to overcome the disappointments of the Filipino people who have great expectations from her.
However, the former Miss Universe finalist explained that the expectations of the Filipinos were too much forgetting that the pageant was a competition of more than 90 women who are the best of their countries.
“Feeling ko nakakalimutan na natin talaga na hindi naman pwedeng isang bansa lang ang manalo again and again and again. Every candidate representing their country is also there to showcase their country, so instead of ma appreciate natin yung efforts… Kasi I’ve seen how Rachel worked so hard for this pageant,” Lastimosa said quoted by ABS-CBN.
