Netizens Complains Maria Isabel Lopez’s License Cancellation Is Not Enough
The netizens have expressed their discontentment saying Maria Isabel Lopez’s license cancellation for two years is not enough.
The Filipina former beauty queen and actress Maria Isabel Lopez has been the headlines of several local news outlets and numerous social media pages after breaching the ASEAN lane.
Lopez removed the cones that serve as a blockage to the lane reserved for the foreign guests who attended the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit earlier this November.
The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has revoked the license of the celebrity as the consequence of her traffic violation, which might cause harm to other motorists.
MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialago also said that Lopez is also prohibited to reapply or to re-acquire her driver’s license for the next two years.
The 55-year-old actress must also pay fines amounting to P8, 000 for violating the Anti-Distracted Driving Act, reckless driving, and disregarding traffic signs.
However, there are some netizens who are not satisfied with the sanctions given to Lopez. Here are some of the comments:
