Alden Richards Plays Role of Marawi Soldier in ‘Magpakailanman’ Episode

ALDEN RICHARDS – Young Kapuso actor Alden Richards opened up about playing a role of a soldier in Marawi for an episode of GMA-7’s Magpakailanman.

The Marawi war has undeniably affected lots of people. It has taken many lives of soldiers who were ready to defend the Philippines and the Filipinos even at the expense of their own lives. It has left many families grieving over the loss of loved ones who bravely offered their lives for the country.

One of those soldiers who fought for the country when terrorists tried to take Marawi is Private First Class Jomille Pavia.

Based on a recent report in Pep, the story of Private First Class Jomille Pavia will be featured as the finale anniversary episode of Magpakailanman.

Kapuso actor Alden Richards will play as the said Marawi soldier in the episode entitled “Kuwentong Marawi Sa Mata ng Isang Sundalo: The Jomille Pavia Story”.

In an interview, Alden opened up about playing the role of a Marawi soldier. According to him, he is “honored” and “sad” at the same time in playing the said role.

“Lingid sa kaalaman ko na ganito pala ang nae-experience ng mga kababayan nating mga sundalo sa war zone,” he said.

Based on the report, the Kapuso actor expressed that it is hard and he can really feel the heaviness of the character and the experiences of the soldiers that is why he did not find it hard to act.

Alden Richards said by just listening to the experiences of the soldiers, he already feels affected.
