JOEY DE LEON – The veteran Kapuso actor and male host Joey de Leon receives criticisms over his controversial “nalunod” caption on social media.
Once more, the said veteran actor and male host from the Kapuso network, Joey de Leon, has involved in a controversy because of his caption which was anchored in a timely tragic incident.
It was after he posted a throwback photo of him in the Dead Sea on his respective accounts in the widely used social media sites, Instagram and Twitter.
The photo depicted Joey de Leon who was floating in the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is the body of water which is located in the borders of the countries Jordan and Israel.
The caption of the photo told, “Nuknukan ka na ng katangahan pag sa DEAD SEA nalunod ka pa!”
To which has ignited fury among the people of the social media community because of the “insensitivity” of the written caption.
The 71-year-old host and comedian was then criticized because of it for right after his comment about depression, another “insensitive” comment has emerged and surfaced.
Seemingly, the timing of the post of the Kapuso actor was not appropriate for it was just recently when a Hashtag member from the Kapamilya network died after drowning in a resort in Davao Occidental.
The host and people from the noontime show Its Showtime reacted upon the post.
Teddy Corpuz indicated, “Sana binigay mo na lng muna sa amin ang maipagluksa ang kaibigan at kapatid namin, kahit isang araw lang. Kahit ngayon lang. Nakakalungkot ka po. Ipapag pray po kita na gabayan ka ng puong Maykapal.”
